Statue of Ľudovít Winter in Piešťany
In 2019, the non-profit organization ProWinter completed its several years of effort and unveiled the Statue of Ľudovít Winter, the visionary and developer of the Piešťany spa.
Ľudovít Winter is probably the most famous citizen of Piešťany, who played a key role in the development and promotion of Piešťany as one of the most important spa towns in Europe.
Charitable organizations
Plamienok is a non-profit organization dedicated to hospice care and grief counseling for children and their families. They are also engaged in publishing activities.
Non-profit organization ‘Smile as a gift’ is the oldest and at the same time the largest non-governmental organization in Slovakia, which operates in the field of alternative care and assistance to vulnerable families. Their activities also include building crisis assistance centers, supporting children and young people in centers for children and families, and preparing adoptive parents by an educational program.
Piešťany Gold Ribbons
The Concours d'Elegance car show is one of the most popular events in Piešťany. History of the car owners meeting dates back to the first half of the 20th century when competitions for the most beautiful car took place in Piešťany. The tradition of the competition was renewed after 1980 and every year it is attended by more than 70 crews of historic vehicles mostly from Europe.
Folk group Slnečnica
It was established in 1986 at the Secondary School of Electrical Engineering in Piešťany. It has a singing, music and dance component focused on folk traditions. The group represents the city of Piešťany at international festivals and supports young people to preserve and spread the traditions of folk culture.
Young art show
Non-profit organization focused on fine arts. Their goal is to help young authors present their work and at the same time arouse the audience's interest in fine arts.
Športové kluby a organizácie
We support sports clubs in the region of Piešťany, which focus on creating space for growth and development of new talents, such as hockey club ŠHK37 Piešťany - HK Havrani; sports club Kajak dedicated to water sports even for physically disabled athletes; Neptune club Piešťany, which annually organizes Dragon Boat Races on the Váh river in Piešťany.
