EKOM has been awarded the prestigious Prize of the Minister of Economy in the competition "Innovative activity of the year".

The competition was launched in 2007 and its aim is to bring the attention of the general public to intresting innovative activities of Slovak entrepreneurs. The prize is awarded in three categories: Product innovation, Technological innovation and Innovation in services. Ekom mobile medical compressor DK50 DI InVent intended for clinical lung ventilation won the first place award in the category of Product innovation.

The award ceremony took place during the first day of the 23rd year of the International Engineering Fair in Nitra. The Prize was received by Mr. Julius Ivan, an Executive Officer of the company and Mr. Karol Mrna, the R&D team leader.
